Artist statement:

As a relief printmaker I create finely detailed, and intricate linocuts which inform the visual narrative of my artist books. This book is a memoir about love and grief and the marks and stains it left on my body. A vessel that has been annotated with the bruises of love. The linocuts are handprinted and overlayed with textures which are then boldly torn, stitched and hand sewn to recreate a new entity, with the scars of its recreation on show. The scroll format is one which just appeared to me one day as a method of developing a narrative and allowing the viewer to observe my work as a ripple of grief.
