Artist statement:

I have painted and observed the natural world for the past 30 years. You could say a curious mix of artist-cum-scientist.

This painting is from a series of landscapes with Australian native flora that I began in 2018 after a residency in my home state of Western Australia. These paintings consisted of animate and inanimate plant forms collaged together in wreath like arrangements in a landscape.

Together Art and Science help us interpret, study and explore the natural world around us.
