Artist statement:
Miss Information is an infected confection. Engulfed in an avalanche of online sophistry, drowning in a deluge of toxic lies, overcome by contaminated conspiracy theories, and tempted by poisonous unfounded remedies.
From the touting of hydroxychloroquine as a cure for Covid-19 and bogus wellness machines for treatment, to the incessant undermining of the safety of vaccinations and the bungled information campaign surrounding the rollout, the information we are fed is a perplexing pile of goop. The portals of belief and remedy continue to look over us, providing a glimmer
of hope for the future.
Miss Information is composed of deconstructed motherboard imprints layered and patterned over antique engravings, printed in pigment inks on 100% cotton rag, framed in acrylic blue box.
