A day out—contemporary jewellery and design

Geelong Gallery Director and CEO, Jason Smith and Geelong Conservation invites you to a fascinating tour exploring Melbourne’s innovative contemporary jewellery and design scene. Meet exhibiting artist, Blanche Tilden for an exclusive before-hours tour of the Gallery’s current exhibition Blanche Tilden—ripple effect: a 25 year survey. Travel to Craft Victoria to view the Maker Showcase Space and meet a contemporary jeweller. Visit e.g.etal to view their current range and enjoy lunch at the new Woods Bagot designed, Next Hotel.
After lunch, travel to Kensington to view the state-of-the-art glass studio of lighting designer Mark Douglass’s atelier, Melbourne Glassworks and meet Gallery Funaki’s Katie Scott to hear more about the current trends in contemporary jewellery design.
